I was recently in Seattle for a work trip and ended up at The Pink Door twice - both times without reservations (not without trying though). This restaurant is so unassuming from outside, tucked inside Post Alley. Both times we were able to get on the waitlist and only waited for 15 on a weekday and an hour and a half on a Saturday. They do operate an in-person waitlist, and will put a sign on their door if they are at capacity. Standout dishes, for me, were the oysters, arancini (so cheesy and delicious), and the artichoke pasta - it was light, but hearty and just simply good. We also tried the Pacific Northwest Fish of the Day, which was a particular type of salmon over polenta, asparagus and mushrooms, and the linguini with clams. There is truly not a bad bite. I also loved the elderflower lemon tart - it wasn't too tart for a lemon dessert, but was creamy and fragrant. While the cocktail list is small, they are a great bar and a great wine list. Finally, they had entertainment there every night; I had the chance to see an aerialist and a jazz band. Definitely recommend if you are in the Seattle area and want a fantastic date night.

Came here on a rainy Seattle day and the cozy vibes inside made the dining experience even better as we were seated by the windows over looking pike! The entrance is kind of hidden but if you walk up the stairs from pike to the back side and turn left there should be a small lowkey light pink/orange door that you can open to enter! The food here was amazing and we definitely came out nearing a food coma. Portion size was very shareable amongst 5 of us. Dishes we got: Lasagna pink door (5/5): my favorite dish here. Came out piping hot with the cheese all melted inside. Get a taste of both pesto and tomato sauce Linguine alle vongole (5/5): love how they didn't skimp out on clams, the dish was covered in them! A lot of pancetta chunks inside and had a good bite to them Spaghetti, artichoke, breadcrumb (3/5) this dish was just okay, nothing stood out too much compared to the other 2 pastas Ciopinno (4/5): huge hints of seafoody flavor packed into this broth! Def packed with shellfish and seafood in there Ahi tuna crudo (5/5): extremely fresh ahi tuna, but the portion size was small. It was good enough for us to debate on ordering another but the pasta was extremely filling Prosciutto & burrata (4/5): solid dish but didn't stick out too much. Burrata was very creamy though Would definitely come back here in the future to try the other pastas! Also would highly recommend getting a reservation as it gets pretty busy and packed! They open a month in advance on their site and fill up pretty quick also

Trying to find this restaurant was a little bit of a struggle for me and I should have looked on Yelp to see that the actual door isn't pink but almost a light color of orange. Either way, it was found in an alleyway and my GPS on the phone wasn't working. While walking into the door I had asked the host if this was the actual Pink Door. She was a little confused and said yes. Then helped us with the reservation that we had made. The inside of the place is nicely decorated and we honestly did have a fun time here! We ordered drinks, cioppino, linguine clams, pink lasagna and Caesar salad. Everything tasted delicious and I liked the lasagna. Totally would recommend this place and just the overall taste was perfect!

The Pink Door is a perfect example of the amazing food scene in Seattle. Expect Italian food served in a cozy, trendy, hipster space. Tucked away in one of the alleys of Pike Place market with no sign, the entrance is indeed a single pink door. Once you get past the unassuming entrance, you'll step down a small staircase into what feels like a speak easy with fine-casual seating. And the food and the drinks are some of the best downtown. As another plus, although we ate at the bar, we were given friendly and attentive service. For the appetizer, their Arancini is beautifully crisp, gooey and chewy on the inside, and sitting atop a tangy Calabrian chile sauce. A standout compared to many other Arancini attempts; it doesn't feel greasy or lose its texture when you crack it with a fork. For the main course, the Lasagna is a can't miss. With spinach green noodles and irresistible layers of oozing cheese goodness in between, each bite melts in your mouth. This Lasagna is one of the most delicious lasagnas I've had to date. Their season special, a wild salmon with fava beans and green peas highlighted the strong salmon game in Seattle. A lovely, flaky but tender and delicate delight, the salmon was cooked perfectly and a great protein accompaniment to the meal. Desserts are also wonderful - if you can find that extra stomach! The fried to order Zepolle and the frangipane almond cake were both delicious. The very warm, delicate donuts had that crisp fluff balanced with cakey density while the almond cake looked beautiful and had all of the almond goodness you'd hope for with frangipane. Even their drinks are fantastic. The Snow Angel (with Tanqueray, lime, egg whites, and rosemary simple) was beautiful, elegant, and incredibly refreshing. With live music most nights, a great ambiance, and a drool-inducing menu, it's no wonder the Pink Door is a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike.

Came on a Saturday night for dinner date. Very nice ambiance with magical feeling. It can been be easy to miss the unassuming *pink door* in post alley. Was pleasantly surprised by the nightly live performances. Incidentally our table was front row to the performance. A little strange to have a mini one-row audience (non diners) staring down from a second story ledge recording the performance. As for food, got the Branzino and pink door seafood pasta. Branzino was hefty and the smaller size (1.5 lbs) was enough for two people. It came with a lot of beans which was a not what we expected. Fish was fresh and good quality but a bit over salted. The pasta tomato soup was really good. Lots of assorted fresh seafood. Nice tomato base soup. Too salty as well.

Great outdoor seating on a sunny Seattle day, with views of Elliott Bay. Amazing food, we ordered family style which was a great way to try everything. Friendly service from start to finish, even as a walk-in group of five. My favorite was the pavlova, first time having it and now I know why they love it on Bluey (iykyk)! So light, yet perfectly rich with the strawberry rhubarb topping. The branzino was also surprisingly delicious, especially paired with the pesto it's served with. Definitely returning!

Such a wonderful dinner. The food was delicious and ambiance was nice! My husband brought me here for my birthday on Tuesday night. Reservations are pretty hard to come by so you have to plan a little in advance. We ended up sitting in their waterfront view area/room. We didn't get a window seat and the view wasn't actually as impressive as I was expecting by the ambiance was still nice. I would have preferred the main room with the aerial performance since the atmosphere is a little more dim and intimate. Service- service was friendly Food + Italian vanilla milk soda - refreshing and tasty + complimentary bread and olive oil + clams and mussels with toasted bread - nicely flavored and all very delish + Pink Door lasagna - surprisingly our favorite! This lasagna blew us away! So good! + almond cake (I forgot the name) but this cake was also very delicious and not at all what we were expecting! Overall, a great restaurant! We enjoyed our dining experience here.

When my cousin and I paused in front of this restaurant, a passerby couldn't help but let us know that this was a good restaurant . I had bookmarked it a while back and we decided to give it a try for lunch. With so many options it was hard to choose but we decided on a couple delightful dishes to share : Paglia e fieno (creamy mushroom pasta) : Lingune alla vongole We definitely wanted to try more but the pastas were perfect for our lunch appetite. As stated, it was a great experience from the lovely decor in both areas and the wonderful service. When you're in the area, you won't regret checking them out! My only regret was not being able to try more!

Got the Tom Waits was here cocktail, which is a blend of bourbon, Cynar (a popular Italian bitter liqueur made from artichokes and a blend of 13 herbs and plants), and dry curacao (a type of orange-flavored liqueur that is similar to traditional curaçao but with a drier taste profile.) Not sure the story behind this drink, but apparently Tom Waits is a singer-songwriter that release several albums across different genre. Perhaps the blend of these very different drinks is a homage to his ability to excel in different genre of music, or maybe it was a drink he likes to order. Also ordered the Fresh Northwest Oysters served with pink balsamico ice, which is a a sweet and tangy frozen mixture made with balsamic vinegar. The brininess of the oysters made the tangy sweetness of the balsamico ice stood out. Personally, I would put just a tad bit of it, so it doesn't overpower the oysters. Lastly, I ordered the Lasagna Pink Door, which contains fresh spinach pasta layered with creamy besciamella, flavorful pesto, and topped with tangy marinara sauce. The combination of these ingredients promises a rich and satisfying dining experience. It was not overly greasy or cheesy, every component complimented each other with none overpowering one or another. It was a very palatable dish! Service and ambience were excellent.
